If your motto is “rosé all day”, then you’ve come to the right place…and we could probably be life long friends!
Not that you need more of a reason to be drinking rosé but Valentine’s Day (or Galentine’s Day, as I prefer) is just around the corner and come on, this pink, bubbly crowd pleaser needs to make an appearance!
If you were searching for an insanely Galentine’s Day appropriate cocktail, this would definitely be it. I whipped these out at a brunch I had with my girlfriends last weekend and they were a hit. I’ll be sharing a glass or two with my guy on Valentine’s Day as well. Who can resist a bright red cocktail?!
The raspberry flavor and beautiful red color come from fresh berries that have been boiled and then strained through a mesh. I’m in love with the fresh taste and texture but my absolute favorite surprise in this drink is the rose water. If you’re a big fan of elderflower, rose water has a very similar flavor but for a fraction of the price. And, a little bit goes a long way. It’s a really soft undertone but compliments the berry and rosé so well.
Subtle and sweet, these bevvies are my new favorite to enjoy with besties and are a must-try. Whether you’re clinking glasses with your gal pals or that special someone this Valentine’s Day, cheers to you!
Save the pin below!
- 2 cups of frozen raspberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp rose water
- 1 bottle of rosé
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Add the berries and water to a small pot over medium heat. After about 10 minutes or when the liquid starts to bubble, add the sugar and let it boil for another 5 minutes. Add the lemon juice and rose water and reduce heat to low for 2 minutes. Remove and allow to cool.
- Put the berries into a food processor and puree. Holding a strainer with very thin wiring over a large bowl, strain the berries in small batches.
- Pour the rosé over the pureed berries and serve!
